How to make your wedding website private with a passcode

A wedding website holds details you might not want public — venue, schedule, registry, photos of the two of you. A passcode keeps it for your guests only.

How to set a passcode

  1. Open your wedding in the editor.
  2. Open the Settings panel.
  3. Turn on the passcode and choose one your guests will remember.
  4. Share the passcode with guests — the invitation wording is the natural place.
  5. Publish; guests now enter the passcode before the website loads.

Send the passcode in the same message as the link, so guests don't hunt for it the week before the wedding.

Heads up: Tell guests early

A passcode is a small extra step — guests forgive it exactly once. Put the code on the save-the-date so it's part of the first message.

Photos and the schedule are usually what couples want protected; RSVPs and the playlist still work the same way behind the passcode.
